Job summary

Publix Pharmacy is seeking an Assistant Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy team, ensure patient-centered care, and support the Pharmacist on duty. You’ll drive service excellence, supervise staff, and manage scheduling, inventory, and performance metrics while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

You will expand clinical services such as immunizations and MTM, participate in community health events, and mentor team members for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.
• Be an immunizing pharmacist meeting state requirements (or scheduled to become one).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems.
• Numerical and financial aptitude.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Be dedicated to overall pharmacy department success by executing strategy, motivating and inspiring staff as the pharmacist-on-duty, setting priorities to maximize contribution.
• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients, empower staff in providing value and service through counseling and building relationships.
• Mentor, train and develop a high functioning pharmacy team, providing developmental opportunities and challenging assignments.
• Inspire your team to do the right thing, gaining buy in, and empowering the team to be accountable for the goals of the pharmacy department.
• Manage department performance including scheduling and assigning tasks to ensure complex operational activities are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Understand metrics as they relate to sales and service to improve performance and maintain competitive advantage.
