Job summary
Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a PRN FTE basis. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will fill medication orders, pre-pack, compound pharmaceuticals, refill stock, deliver medications, and perform various clerical duties to support pharmacy operations.
The role offers night/weekend differentials for eligible positions, tuition reimbursement, and wellness programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA.
- At least two years experience in pharmacy.
- Crucial Conversations, Appreciative Coaching, and Influencer training for Lead Technicians and Lead Administrative Technician.
- PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency and Hazardous Medication Training.
Responsibilities
- Functions as Lead Technician in assigned area of work.
- Actively participates in the Quality Process, including improvement initiatives.
- Supports leadership to drive Employee and Customer Engagement.
- Primary responsibility is to prepare sterile hazardous (eg Oncology) medications.
- Operates in lead administrative technician position within the department.
- Adheres to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
- Performs other functions as required.
