Southend Pharmacy is seeking a Sterile Certified Pharmacy Technician Lead Hazardous Technician to support repackaging, compounding, and filling sterile and hazardous medications. You will work with pharmacists to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance in both hazardous and non-hazardous sterile rooms, while leading and training the technician team.

The role includes scheduling, quality oversight, and day-to-day operational leadership, with a focus on patient safety and adherence to USP

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active RPHT-TX license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on sterile compounding pharmacy technician experience.
• IV Certification with aseptic technique and sterile preparation.
• 40 hours of accredited sterile compounding training per USP standards.
• Familiarity with USP <797> and USP <800>.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous medications and follow related procedures.
• Ability to perform lead-level responsibilities and train new employees.

Responsabilités

• Compound prescriptions in sterile and hazardous sterile environments.
• Ensure timely and accurate medication distribution.
• Organize and manage medication orders and records.
• Monitor and replenish medication supplies.
• Print batch record shells and Pestle logs.
• Complete Eagle & Pioneer submissions.
• Follow hazardous medication handling and decontamination procedures.
• Lead scheduling, training, and quarterly evaluations.
