Job summary

Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Pharmacist IT Applications professional to participate in the build, implementation, integration and maintenance of automation and technology that ensure safe, appropriate use of medications.

The role monitors treatment outcomes, enhances patient safety, minimizes adverse effects, and helps control costs, while coordinating input from pharmacy and other disciplines into system design and decisions within the pharmacy department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PHARMD - Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• NYS Pharmacist license required upon hire.
• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacist or 1 year Pharmacy Residency required.
• 1 year experience in Healthcare IT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the build, implementation, integration and maintenance of automation and technology to assure safe and appropriate use of medications.
• Monitors medication treatment and improves medical outcomes, improving patient safety, minimizing adverse effects and helping control costs.
• Coordinates input from pharmacy (and other disciplines as needed) into system design and coordinates necessary decisions related to system operations in the pharmacy department.
