Job summary

Union Health is seeking a Pharmacy Systems Specialist to lead IT initiatives within Pharmacy Services. The role focuses on planning, installing, and maintaining pharmacy computerization projects from an IT perspective.

You will design, implement, and evaluate pharmacy software applications, collaborate across departments, and support PIS hardware/software. Strong analytics and communication are essential in this fast‑paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS or related field.
• Knowledge of pharmacy activities and duties.
• Experience with personal computers, software, and networks.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and cross‑department collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal business communication.
• Strong analytics and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Plans, installs, and maintains pharmacy computerization projects from an IT standpoint.
• Assists with design, planning, analysis, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of pharmacy computer applications.
• Assists in creating project plans with deadlines and critical paths.
• Assists in gathering information for analysis and works with finance for charge master price modeling.
• Maintains charge description master (CDM) numbers and HCPCS codes in financial systems.
• Collaborates with patient accounts to aid audits and billing questions.
• Maintains formulary in automated dispensing system; provides technical support for PIS software/hardware.
• Reports project status to management and communicates with the project team.
