Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking an Application Analyst II-Pharmacy to join the Pharmacy IS application team.

You will support the implementation and ongoing operation of pharmacy applications across 25+ acute care facilities, ensuring high availability and data integration across systems. Responsibilities include building experience in pharmacy formulary workflows, batch reporting, and dispense routing, while adhering to Change Control and Service Level policies.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressively more responsible Information Systems experience with Pharmacy Systems, preferably Cerner.
• 2 years of completed college coursework towards a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
• Basic knowledge of Pharmacy and related computer systems such as Med Distribution and Order Management Systems (ie. Pyxis and Pyxis Connect), analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.
• Basic knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal skills

• Cerner Millennium certifications: Millennium Fundamentals, PharmNet, PowerChart

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation of UHS Pharmacy and Pharmacy related applications to ensure high availability and performance in a 25+ Acute Care Hospital environment.
• Assists with data integration activities across systems and applications.
• Provides on-call support as scheduled and participates in meetings.
• Follows Change Control and Service Level policies.
• Resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgrades.
