Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) in Wisconsin seeks an Application Analyst II-BH Clinical Systems to serve as a clinical liaison for Cerner-based systems.

You will implement, train, support, and maintain the clinical information system across facilities, handling troubleshooting, testing, and change management. Responsibilities include user meetings, documentation, QA, and ticket resolution while aligning with PM standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of completed college coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree is required.
• 3-5 years of related experience is required.
• Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a behavioral health facility including but not limited to nurse unit/dept, therapies, and intake. Previous Cerner experience is required.
• Minimum two years direct patient care experience preferred. Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office experience required.
• Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferred.
• Mentoring/leadership experience. Ability to collaborate with clinicians to discern software specifications, hardware requirements, and process improvement workflows.
• Must be comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels.
• Additional IT knowledge including basic troubleshooting of computers, networks, peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-going support and management of clinical applications
• Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications
• Supports the implementations of applications and prepares the appropriate documentation
• Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle
• Performs QA on application functionality
• Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets
• Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards
• Ensures on-call support as scheduled
• Coordinates project team member activities to achieve common objectives
