Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work in the Inventory Control Area, stocking, filling, and distributing patient medication orders under pharmacist supervision. A $5000 sign-on bonus is offered for this full-time 40-hour-per-week position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current registration as a pharmacy technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
• Current national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Responsibilities

• Inventory control and stocking medication orders.
• Identify shortages or excess inventory.
• Organize and rotate medication stock.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Daily receiving and verification of medication shipments.
• Check expiration dates on stock.
• Manage medication storage.
• Assist with inventory audits.
• Identify discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
