Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work in the Inventory Control Area, stocking, filling, and distributing patient medication orders under a pharmacist's supervision.

The role requires inpatient pharmacy experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and attention to detail. A $5000 sign-on bonus is offered for this full-time, 40-hour-per-week position along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current registration as a pharmacy technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
• Current national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Responsibilities

• Stock inventory in the Inventory Control Area.
• Fill and distribute patient medication orders under supervision by a pharmacist.
• Identify shortages or excess inventory and organize storage.
• Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
• Daily receiving and verifying medication shipments.
• Check expiration dates on medications.
• Assist with inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain proper medication storage and handling procedures.
