Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Specialist to support procurement for outpatient, retail, and mail-order pharmacy pharmaceuticals, DMEPOS, and related supplies, under the Outpatient Pharmacy Purchasing leadership.

You will monitor inventory levels, rotate stock per USP guidelines, manage returns, assist with invoicing and credits, and generate reports to optimize daily orders and par levels within the pharmacy system.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technicians must be registered with the MA Board of Pharmacy by hire date.
• National certification from PTCB or exCPT.
• 3–4 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchase invoice records and Track & Trace compliance.
• Manage medication inventories; ensure products are dated and rotated per USP guidelines.
• Keep shelves and storage areas clean, organized and well stocked.
• Process drug returns promptly and reconcile credits in the system.
• Review orders and data imports/exports; verify PO numbers for each facility.
