Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician to manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring timely stock orders, inventory control and accurate invoicing in a manner that supports high-quality patient care.

The role collaborates with the pharmacy director and team to address shortages and maintain formulary compliance. Responsibilities include inventory management, billing processes, and assisting with annual budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification required upon hire.
• Registration with Georgia State Board of Pharmacy upon hire is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in specific areas of the Pharmacy.
• Experience in high-risk areas (IV admixture, Purchasing/Inventory Control, Controlled Substance Distribution and Accountability) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order stock and maintain par levels; check for out-of-dates and recalls.
• Coordinate annual drug inventory and supervise drug purchasing.
• Manage billing, credits and ordering paperwork; assist pharmacists and technicians as needed.
• Assist Director with budgeting and financial reporting; notify discrepancies to Accounting.
