Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Hospital Pharmacy Technician for the evening shift. You will prepare, compound, and dispense medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist and perform other technical duties in the pharmacy department.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, GA PHT/CPHT or Pharmacist-Intern certifications, and hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. You will work with ADCs, maintain inventory, and support safe, compliant medication handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PHT - Registered Pharmacy Technician certification required upon hire.
• CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist-Intern certification required.
• Licensed in good standing with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; knowledge of automated dispensing cabinets and inventory management beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications under supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Fill, label, and verify medications for pharmacist approval; handle ADC responsibilities.
• Restock medications, manage inventory, and assist with recalls and safety checks.
• Maintain aseptic technique and comply with USP and hospital policies.
• Train and mentor pharmacy technicians and assist in daily operations.
