Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to manage purchasing and inventory for its retail, specialty, and mail-order pharmacy operations. This onsite role partners with pharmacy leaders, staff, and suppliers to optimize product availability and cost controls.

The position emphasizes automation systems, PAR level optimization, and detailed reporting to support financial and patient access goals. Strong analytical, collaboration, and regulatory knowledge are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred in related field.
Pennsylvania Registered Pharmacy Technician license or trainee license required.
Knowledge of pharmacy purchasing and inventory management.

Responsibilities

Oversee inventory across retail, specialty, and mail-order pharmacy operations.
Collaborate with managers, buyers, and staff to adjust stock and PAR levels.
Manage purchase orders and ensure accurate recording and storage.
Oversee shipping, receiving, stock rotation, and reverse logistics.
Analyze purchasing activity and supply-chain metrics to optimize inventory.
Monitor expenses, KPIs, and prepare management reports on savings.
Conduct audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Develop relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders for availability and terms.
Manage product introductions, substitutions, and discontinuations.
Support improvements to inventory systems and purchasing workflows.
Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
