Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Specialist to support MVOPD, ensuring accurate Rx/OTC inventory, handling transfers between sites, and maintaining reporting metrics. The role requires coordinating with satellite locations and improving inventory processes.

The successful candidate will train staff, manage multiple inventory systems (Parata, Carousel, Enterprise Rx), and ensure compliance with federal and state policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory management and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily returns-to-stock, cycle counts and ensure on-hand accuracy for Rx and OTC inventory.
• Manage inventory storage and rotation, ensure proper handling of hazardous products, and coordinate recalls.
• Maintain inventory metrics and monthly/weekly reporting; coordinate with satellite locations and vendors.
• Lead orientation and training for inventory processes and use of multiple inventory systems.
• Provide cross-coverage to related Outpatient Pharmacy operations as needed.
• Maintain inventory logs and documents; ensure accurate invoicing in the Pharmacy Management System.
• Serve as primary contact for transfers of inventory between OPD satellite locations.
• Attend monthly OPD and weekly MM meetings related to inventory management.
