Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy services, counsel patients on medication usage, review drug interactions, and support immunization and wellness services.

You will ensure proper compounding, dispensation, and verification of prescriptions according to policy and regulatory guidelines, while assisting in inventory and workflow improvements at the store level.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in the district within 90 days.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions about medication usage, side effects, interactions, and allergies.
• Performs pharmacy tasks including compounding, reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies; supports efficient workflow and inventory management.
• Uses Good Faith Dispensing principles with state and federal laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes system enhancements to improve productivity.
• Handles insurance claims processing and follow-ups with insurers and providers.
