Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refers to medical provider as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, policies and standards; supports workflow and shift duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and follows up with payers and providers.
