Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Pharm D degree from an accredited institution within the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions and allergies.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, policies and standards.
• Supports workflow and assists management with procedures, opening/closing, and shift change duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with providers as needed.
• Performs immunizations and wellness services to support patient care.
• Maintains relationships with local medical community and community outreach activities.
