Job summary

Meijer in Westerville, OH seeks a Pharmacy Intern to deliver patient-focused care and support the pharmacy operations. You will assist in processing prescriptions, communicating with patients, and supporting third-party billing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Enroll in an accredited pharmacy program and hold a state Pharmacy Intern License. Responsibilities include inventory management, customer service, and ensuring accurate medication preparation within a team setting at Meijer

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Pharmacy Intern License (state specific).
Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
Neat and legible penmanship; strong organizational skills.
Prioritization and dependability are important for timely service.
Team-oriented mindset with ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to provide excellent customer service while protecting patient confidentiality.
Understanding of patient care services and third-party processes.
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and dosage forms is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and assist patients with product selection.
Communicate with patients in person and by phone; assist with medication pricing requests.
Process and fill prescriptions.
Use pharmacy computer system for data entry and third-party adjudication; manage shelves and labeling.
Perform third-party functions as needed.
Manage inventory and balance on hand; place orders and handle vendor interactions.
Deliver clinical services as trained and state-allowed.
