Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support retail pharmacy operations in Los Angeles. You will assist pharmacists, interact with customers, and help ensure safe, accurate dispensing and counseling under supervision.

Responsibilities include inputting prescription data, processing third-party claims, and assisting with immunizations and patient education in a fast-paced environment. This internship offers hands-on experience in a major retail pharmacy setting.

Formación

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.

• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical products and competently discuss them with customers and prescribers.
• Provide drug counseling and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Process third-party insurance information and contact insurance companies if necessary.
• Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions accurately for fill or refill.
• Provide immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
