Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Intern in Los Angeles to support the pharmacy team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will learn under pharmacist supervision, assist with prescription processing, and discuss medications with customers and prescribers.

Engage in immunizations under supervision, maintain accurate records in the pharmacy system, and contribute to a welcoming, compliant environment dedicated to patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• Current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return.
• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.
• Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Provide drug counseling and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Assist with immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
