Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in counseling customers, inputting prescriptions, and processing insurance while delivering safe, high-quality service. You will assist with immunizations under supervision and help maintain a clean, compliant pharmacy department.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy school and a current Pharmacy Intern license are required, with exposure to prescription processing and patient interaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the department in achieving sales and profit goals while maintaining QA standards.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
• Dispense prescribed medications and assist with over-the-counter recommendations.
• Input third-party insurance data and communicate with insurers as needed.
• Provide immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
• Stock and organize stock, return unused bottles to stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe department environment and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate safety risks or issues to management and assist in emergency responses.
