Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn and assist the pharmacist and team in providing excellent patient experiences. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and help process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.

You will help deliver patient care services such as counseling, blood pressure checks, and medication therapy management while adhering to state and federal regulations and Walgreens policies.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
• Reviews and complies with the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and processes prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers in patient care and services within state scope of practice, including counseling.
