Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy intern to learn and support the patient experience by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team while following state and federal regulations.

You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support services that contribute to high-quality patient care. This role requires flexibility, including evenings/weekends, and enrollment in a pharmacy program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients, greets them, and assists with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Learn from store and pharmacy team members, field leadership, and customers/patients.
• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision in accordance with policy and SOPs.
• Support pharmacists in delivering patient care within state scope of practice (counseling, MTM, etc.).
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow QA processes.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies and company policies.
• Register sales on cash register and assist customers to locate products.
