Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn patient experience by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team while handling prescriptions and patient information in compliance with state and federal regulations.

You will work under pharmacist supervision, perform duties related to entering, processing and dispensing prescriptions, and support customer service and inventory management to ensure safe, accurate medication delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Review and comply with Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Enter, third party processing, fill and dispense prescriptions.
• Assist with patient counseling and health services within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
• Immediately report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow policy for pharmacy errors.
• Handle cash register and assist customers to locate products in the OTC aisle.
• Support Pharmacy Department on inventory management and maintaining a stocked, clean department.
