Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern in the United States to learn patient experience by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

The role focuses on modeling a distinctive customer experience as you learn pharmacy policy, procedures, and best practices under pharmacist supervision, including patient counseling and health services within the scope

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Currently enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in entering, processing and dispensing prescriptions under supervision.
• Interact with customers to provide helpful service and build positive patient relationships.
• Support inventory management and pharmacy operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and the Walgreens Code of Conduct.
