Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacy team and assist the pharmacist in accordance with state and federal regulations.

You will access patient and drug information using pharmacy systems and process prescriptions under supervision, delivering a courteous, professional customer experience. In this role you will learn pharmacy policy, procedures, and best practices while developing skills in patient counseling and health services, including blood pressure monitoring

Competenze

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Mansioni

• Greet customers and assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in entering, third-party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow Quality Improvement procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, unpacking and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Complete required training and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
