Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering exceptional customer service and accurate prescription processing. You will learn to provide the best patient experience by assisting with pharmacy systems and adhering to state and federal regulations.

Under supervision, you will participate in dispensing, patient counseling, and health services within the scope of practice for interns, while maintaining Walgreens policies and service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team in entering, processing, and dispensing prescriptions under supervision.
• Support inventory management and pharmacy operations to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide patient care activities within the state scope of practice as allowed for interns.
• Report prescription errors and comply with company policies and Quality Improvement procedures.
