Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care and service. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and help process prescriptions under supervision, while modeling excellent customer experiences.

Your role includes learning pharmacy policies, procedures, and best practices, participating in patient counseling, and supporting inventory and operational tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team to provide patient care and service.
• Engage customers, answer questions, and help with product and service needs.
• Support pharmacy operations including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions under supervision.
• Contribute to patient counseling and health services within scope of practice.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow policy.
