Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy associate to support supervised activities, fulfill state requirements, and advise customers on medication use. You will assist in counseling, immunizations, and preventive care while aligning with regulatory guidelines.

Under supervision, you will perform compounding, dispensing, review, and verification; help optimize workflow, inventory, and customer experience; and pursue licensure with district timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) required.
• Intern permit/certificate from the respective Board of Pharmacy when required.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in the states within the district within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine use, side effects, interactions, and safety under supervision.
• Performs dispensing, verification, and drug therapy reviews as workload allows.
• Supports pharmacy operations, inventory, and workflow efficiency.
• Engages customers with service excellence and participates in immunization and wellness services.
