Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain PharmD prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions about medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies; assists with opening/closing and shift changes.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes improvements to promote productivity.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with payers and providers.
• Delivers immunizations and preventive health services such as flu shots and diabetes awareness.
• Keeps relationships with local healthcare providers and participates in community outreach.
• Manages inventory and KPI reviews with managers and staff.
