Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in district states within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, privacy, generics, and OTCs.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, policies, and standards; assists manager with procedures and shift duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with payers and providers.
• Performs immunizations and wellness services (immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness).
• Develops relationships with local medical community and participates in outreach to promote pharmacy services.
