Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy professional to engage in post-graduate pharmacy activities under supervision. You will provide patient counseling on medication usage, interactions, and preventive services such as immunizations, while ensuring accurate compounding, dispensing, and verification of prescriptions.

Under supervision, you will support pharmacy operations, optimize workflow, and contribute to inventory management.

Qualifications

• Credentials to practice pharmacy in the relevant state
• Intern permit/certificate as required by Board of Pharmacy
• Willingness to obtain licensure within 45 days of intern hours
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and generics
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
• Dispenses prescribed medications accurately and reviews insurance claims
• Maintains compliance with regulations and company policies; supports workflow and inventory management
• Participates in community events and promotes patient care and wellness services
