Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting services, counsel patients, and ensure accurate dispensing within regulatory guidelines. The role supports pharmacy operations, inventory management, and customer experience enhancement, including immunizations and wellness services.

The pharmacist will contribute to drug interaction reviews, preventive health services, and collaboration with pharmacy leadership to optimize workflow and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within district guidelines within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow; assists with opening/closing and shift changes.
• Uses Good Faith Dispensing policies and supports pharmacy systems enhancements.
• Provides immunizations and wellness services as appropriate.
