Job summary

CVS Health is seeking 3rd year Pharmacy Interns to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy operations across our stores. Under a preceptor, you’ll follow a training roadmap, learn SOPs, and support pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and excellent patient care.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience in immunizations, patient counseling, inventory, and store operations, while traveling to stores in the market as needed.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency with pharmacy workflows and patient safety procedures.
• Experience with immunizations and patient counseling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contributing to positive patient experiences showing empathy and genuine care
• Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and obtaining patient history under supervision
• Taking telephonic prescriptions and communicating with prescribers as allowed by state regulations
• Maintaining inventory activities and assisting with stock management
• Supporting a high-performing team and embracing opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
• Traveling to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed
• Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
• Delivering immunizations and other patient health care services where trained and permitted by law
