Job summary

King Soopers, part of the Kroger family, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in delivering patient-centered care and accurate medication dispensing in Colorado. The role includes patient counseling, prescription processing, and collaboration with healthcare providers.

Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy and a current Pharmacy Intern license are required. Part-time hours, a friendly team environment, and growth opportunities within the Kroger family are offered.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or pharmacy setting preferred
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and counseling basics ideal
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions accurately

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions about products and assist customers in the department and store.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss OTC recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense medications and contact prescribers for authorization when needed.
• Process third-party insurance information and coordinate with insurance companies.
• Assist with safety, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining department standards.
