Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment in Oregon. You will assist with prescription processing, patient counseling, and customer service, while learning about immunizations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Gain knowledge of pharmaceutical products and discuss them with customers and prescribers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Input patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Bag filled prescriptions and deliver to customers accurately.
• Process third party insurance information for customers.
• Contact insurance companies on behalf of customers when necessary.
• Facilitate charge purchases for customers.
• Accept and interpret prescriptions for fill/refill and assist with immunizations under supervision.
