Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refers to medical providers as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in compliance with regulations and policies; assists with procedures to promote efficient workflow; handles opening/closing and shift changes.
• Utilizes pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and supports IT-related tasks.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with providers to resolve issues and prevent denials.
• Provides immunizations and wellness services; engages in patient consultation and diabetes awareness initiatives.
