Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, review and dispense prescribed medications, and support immunization and preventive health services. Qualifications

Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provides pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, interactions, and preventive health services.
Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Reviews insurance processing and assists with 3rd party audits to resolve issues and prevent rejections.
Supports opening and closing duties, shift changes, and workflow procedures to optimize efficiency.
Delivers immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness, and other wellness services to promote preventive care.
