Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication counseling, compounding, and medication management. The role includes immunizations, patient education, and ensuring accurate dispensing in a compliant pharmacy environment.

The incumbent will support workflow optimization, insurance claim processing, and coordination with healthcare providers to enhance patient care and well-being. Experience with retail pharmacy operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions and generic options.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and Good Faith Dispensing principles.
• Open/close the pharmacy and manage shift changes.
• Supports immunization, wellness services and preventive care.
• Maintains and supports pharmacy IT systems and insurance claim processing.
