Job summary

The Kroger Co. is hiring a Pharmacy Intern for Fred Meyer in Boise, Idaho.

You will work under a pharmacist to provide drug counseling, assist with OTC recommendations, and help ensure safe, accurate prescription processing while delivering excellent customer service. Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy and a current Pharmacy Intern license are required; you will gain hands-on experience in a high-volume retail setting with the chance to learn about immunizations, insurance processing,

Qualifications

• Be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over the counter medications recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Stock incoming orders and manage pharmacy inventory.
