Job summary

Fred Meyer, part of The Kroger Co., is based in Portland, Oregon. We are seeking a Pharmacy Intern who will assist the pharmacist, counsel customers on medications, and help maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy department.

You will gain hands-on experience and learn to input prescriptions, process insurance, and support immunizations under supervision. This internship requires active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy and a current Pharmacy Intern license.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions regarding products and assist customers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Process third party insurance information for customers.
• Stock and manage inventory.
• Notify management of accidents and safety issues.
