Job summary

Kroger Co. in Boise, ID is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the Fred Meyer pharmacy team. You will assist with dispensing, counseling, and prescription processing while maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming customer experience.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a valid Pharmacy Intern license are required; part-time schedule with opportunities for growth and hands-on training in a high-volume retail environment.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering product questions.
• Provide drug counseling and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
• Dispense medications and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations and immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
• Process third-party insurance information and facilitate charge purchases.
