Price Chopper Supermarkets/Market 32 is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will gain practical experience in prescribing workflows, patient counseling, immunizations, medication therapy management, and inventory management while upholding regulatory compliance.

You will assist with prescriptions, billing, and customer service, building familiarity with ACIP immunization guidelines and state laws.

Responsibilities

Complies with all state and federal regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
Counsels patients and takes prescriptions over the phone from prescribers.
Assists with inventory management.
Receives new prescriptions via phone; interprets written prescriptions from prescribers.
Obtains information for new prescriptions (name, address, DOB, insurance, allergies, phone).
Processes prescriptions accurately including entering details, dispensing, and managing orders.
