PriceChopper in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Intern who will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain practical experience in meeting patient needs and pharmacy operations. You will assist with prescription preparation, counseling patients, and processing calls from prescribers, while supporting immunization activities according to state law.

The role involves inventory management, excellent customer service, and participation in corporate programs.

Formación

• Must successfully complete first professional year of pharmacy study.
• Preferable to have been a pharmacy teammate for minimum of 6 months.
• State licensed pharmacy intern permit where applicable.
• 1 year previous experience in a community pharmacy preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist pharmacist in preparation of prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Counsel patients and take prescriptions over the phone from prescribers.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service to Price Chopper and Market 32 customers.
• Understand and apply the ACIP immunization schedule; make immunization recommendations per state law.
• Assist with immunization counseling, paperwork, and documentation.
• May administer immunizations to adults under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
