PriceChopper is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to gain practical experience under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will assist with prescription preparation, accuracy, and counseling while supporting inventory management and billing.

The role includes handling prescription intake via phone, immunization counseling, and contributing to fast, friendly service for customers. Prior related experience and a pharmacy intern permit are advantages.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete first professional year of pharmacy study.
• Preferable to have been a pharmacy teammate for minimum of 6 months.
• State licensed pharmacy intern permit where applicable.
• 1 year previous experience in a community pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with prescriptions preparation and accuracy.
• Counsel patients and take prescriptions over the phone from prescribers.
• Provide immunization counseling and documentation under supervision where applicable.
• Participate in inventory management and billing processes.
