Job summary

Walgreens Eureka, CA is seeking a post-graduate pharmacist under direct supervision to fulfill State Board requirements and provide pharmacy consulting on medication usage, interactions, and preventive services such as immunizations.

The role includes ensuring proper compounding, dispensing, review and verification of prescriptions, supporting pharmacy workflows, and assisting the pharmacy manager with inventory management and customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required? (Note - If you live in a state that does NOT require an Intern permit/certificate, response is "yes")

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients about usage of medicine, side effects, interactions and ensures privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribed medications when necessitated by workload.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, company policies and standards, and assists with workflow efficiency and inventory management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States

Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC)

Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy
