Job summary

King Soopers in Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate medication fulfillment and patient counseling. You will input prescriptions, assist with immunizations under supervision, and help customers with OTC recommendations while maintaining a compliant and welcoming environment.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a current intern license are required.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions regarding prescriptions and pharmacy products.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
• Dispense prescribed medications and verify accuracy before dispensing.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and answer questions about OTC products.
• Assist with immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Process third-party insurance information and communicate with insurers as needed.
