King Soopers in Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacist colleagues in patient care and prescription processing. You will learn to counsel customers, handle prescriptions, and assist with immunizations under supervision.

Qualified candidates are actively enrolled in a US pharmacy program and hold a current Pharmacy Intern license, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service. This is a hands-on internship in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
Input patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system and dispense medications.
Contact prescribers’ offices for authorization and handle third-party insurance processing.
Assist with immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist and ensure safety and compliance.
Stock and verify incoming orders, manage inventory, and assist with checkout as needed.
Report safety risks or incidents to management and maintain a safe pharmacy area.
