Job summary

CVS Health offers a part-time 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program in our retail pharmacies, with a comprehensive training roadmap. Interns will learn to support pharmacists and technicians while delivering compassionate patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, handling prescriptions, participating in immunizations, and contributing to inventory and safety compliance. Willingness to travel to stores as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy participation required.
• Active intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Part-time schedule with regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel to multiple stores as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow CVS SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with pharmacy workflows at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
• Counsel patients and handle medical questions under pharmacist supervision.
• Accept telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers when needed.
• Assist with immunizations, inventory tasks, and accuracy of labeling and dispensing.
• Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate with team to deliver compassionate patient care and excellent service.
