Job summary

CVS Health in the United States offers a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program across our store network. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, supporting pharmacy teams and gaining insight into store, district, and regional operations.

This role emphasizes patient safety, SOP adherence, immunizations, and collaborative care. You will learn through hands-on experiences, complete a structured training roadmap, and prepare for a Pharmacist role with growth

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must have, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health and safety.
• Support workflow at each workstation to ensure safe prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and assist with immunizations and services as allowed.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and collect medical history to inform care.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers when required by state rules.
• Assist with inventory and stocking activities under pharmacy leadership.
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by business demand.
